The wilderness can be a lonely place of transformation, a place of transition. This day will create space to explore what we need to sustain us on the journey. “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43: 19 NIV

Each of us is on a journey to become complete or maybe another way of putting it for those with faith is to become the person God wants us to be. This will be a gentle look at the ways we become who we are, and considering where we’ve got to in our lives. Then moving on to how we can discern where to go from here. Please note this is a two day course, the evening of March 9th 7-9pm, and all day on March 10th 10am-4pm. £20 for the two days.

Many people have suffered all kinds of rejection and carry the consequences into the rest of their lives, often making it hard for them to trust other people. This day is an opportunity to look at the roots of our own rejection and to move through the pain into a place of forgiveness and so grow into greater freedom in Christ.

After an introductory talk on the life and writings of Julian of Norwich, there will be by an introduction to silent contemplative prayer with suggestions of ways to use that time of prayer. During the day there will be three separate half hours of group silence. There will be an opportunity to share experiences and to discuss the way forward

Waiting can be found at the heart of the Gospel. But waiting includes uncertainty and so is hard and demanding of our faith. This day is to explore some of the insights which can spring from times of waiting.

For many of us, the way we communicate with the Lord in prayer is simply with words. Yet, there is so much He has given us that we can use for His delight! This quiet day aims to explore how to refresh our relationship with God by expressing our prayers in more spontaneous and creative ways.
